About the Artist
World music practitioner, performer, and educator with over two decades of contribution to the music field
Trained from age 10 in Carnatic music, one of India's most technically demanding classical traditions, Seema studied under esteemed gurus including Sri Vedavathi, Sr Chinnappaiya Ramesh and pursued advanced Manodharma (improvisational) raga explorations under Prof Ragunathan Srinath, and Vidushi Sulochanaamma.
She also trained in Hindustani music under the legendary Ustad Imrat Khan, expanding her mastery across India's major classical traditions.
After relocating to the United States in the early 2000s, Seema became an active educator, training students in Indian vocal music and preparing them for performances and community concerts. She has maintained a consistent performance career for over 25 years, appearing at prestigious venues across the US and India.

Co-founded to bridge Indian classical traditions with global genres, collaborating with renowned musicians including Todd Mosby, Grammy-nominated Farshid Etniko, Dave Deters, and Prasanna Kasthuri.
